Electrolyte Gummy Bites

Homemade electrolyte gummies that are easier on bariatric stomachs than commercial sports drinks. Great for hot weather runs.

Ingredients

  • Coconut water1 cup
  • Unflavored gelatin2 tbsp
  • Honey1 tbsp
  • Salt1/4 tsp
  • Silicone molds1 tray

Instructions

1. Heat coconut water in a saucepan (don't boil). 2. Sprinkle gelatin over the warm liquid and whisk until dissolved. 3. Add honey and a pinch of salt. 4. Pour into silicone molds. 5. Refrigerate 2 hours until firm. Take 2-3 gummies every 30 minutes during long runs.
